Educational Coordinator

The Educational Coordinator will work with the Head of School and Lead Montessori Guides to provide guidance and oversight to ensure that our programs meet the educational standards and aligns with Montessori principles. 

 

Qualifications:
​
  • Bachelor’s degree or 120 semester hours of approved college credit or a Bachelor’s degree equivalence as determined by an independent agency authorized to evaluate foreign credentials.

  • Certification from AMS or AMI, MACTE-accredited training facility appropriate for the level of assignment.

  • Evidence of continuing education and professional growth.

  • Desire to further the understanding and practice of Montessori philosophy.

  • Strong interpersonal and mentorship skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Evidence of continuing education and professional growth to include meeting all necessary requirements as established by state law and regulatory agencies.

  • Must be able to pass a background check.

  • Within first 30 days of employment must be able to meet all necessary requirements as established by state law and regulatory agencies.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
​
  • Work with the Head of School, faculty, and staff to identify goals of the school and maintain the integrity of the Montessori program.

    • Scope and sequence of programs.

    • Alignment with AMS/AMI published standards.

    • Monitor the quality, scope, and of classroom inventories.

  • Research products, programs, and services to serve goals of the program.

  • Identify continuing education needs for faculty and staff.

  • Serve as a communication liaison between program levels and teaching teams.

  • Coordinate and lead faculty and team meetings.

  • Coordinate special programs.

  • Update and maintain computer assisted student assessment program. 

  • Manage student assessment system and analysis.

  • Required attendance and participation in all staff meetings.

  • Other duties, as assigned.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, bend, lift and work in an outdoor playground environment for extended periods of time while supervising children.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
