Metro Teacher Training Institute was established to offer Core of Knowledge and Continued Training to all professionals in the field of early childhood education. Emphasis is placed upon delivering relevant topics and accurate, up-to-date information to teachers, colleagues, interns, mentors, and instructional assistants dedicated to improving the quality of early childhood education. Training sessions are designed to be informative, interactive, and sensitive to the varied backgrounds and learning styles of the adult participants. Metro Teacher Training has been approved by the Maryland State Department of Education to offer training in these Core of Knowledge content areas: Child Development, Curriculum, Special Needs, Community or Health, Safety and Nutrition and Professionalism content areas, as well as Continued Training in the content areas of: Child Health Issues, Child Development, Age Appropriate Activities and Business Practices.

All training is approved by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education, approval #CKO 1763.
